PH driver escapes shooting death

The bullets fired at Troy Lane grazed his right palm as he managed to hide behind a vehicle, an act which saved his life. Yesterday, he was treated at the Eric Williams Medical complex and was expected to be interviewed by police.

According to reports at about 3.30 pm Lane was opposite Cost Cutters Supermarket in El Dorado when a lone gunman armed with a semi-automatic weapon fired a volley shots at him. Persons who nearby scampered to safety and police were called to the scene.

The area was cordoned off and officers recovered about 12 spent at the scene of the brazen shooting attack.

Police investigators believe that the shooting was an attempt on Lane’s life who is known to the police. Investigations are continuing.
