Ex-Minister’s brother arrested

During the exercise, the blood alcohol level of the former minister’s brother was found to be way above the accepted level and was arrested and taken to the Sangre Grande Police Station. Newsday understands the man began protesting his arrest, saying his brother is an attorney and he “has connections”, but after a short while, the man became subdued and his relatives were informed of his arrest.

The man was later charged with driving under the influence and will appear before a Sangre Grande Magistrate today.
