Police robbed of motorbike at gunpoint

Newsday was told that the robbery on Saturday followed another unfortunate incident which occurred on April 26, when the family house at Iere Village, Princes Town which Ramjattan shared with his aunt Maria Maharaj and her husband Gary Levine was completely destroyed by fire. Arson is suspected as it was revealed that only three days before the fire, assailants fired several shots at the house.

No one was injured in the shooting incident. Police are yet to ascertain if the theft of the bike had any links to the recent fire. Anyone with information can contact the Mon Repos Police Station. Investigations are continuing.
