We must learn from our mistakes
Blood continues to flow and what are we really doing, as one people? What are we doing wrong? The murder toll has officially crossed 300 as of August.
Why are we not committed to developing our nation after we have been through so much? We divide society into classes and some feel as though they are isolated from the problem.
Crime has surpassed these false “class” statuses and affects us all, daily. Yet we live our lives oblivious to the fact that it can “hit home”, until it actually does.
We pray but stand by and watch our youths fall to the wayside without giving them a sense of direction; only criticism.
As we have now crossed this painful landmark right along with our 54th independence anniversary, let us keep in mind that we have developed extensively over the years but our people still need to develop their state of mind. We have accessed much human potential throughout the years but we still have a lot to learn. As our nation continues to mark its 54th anniversary, may we learn from our mistakes and strive for a better tomorrow.
