Ask Moonilal where he got info from
At the time, Antoine was line minister for CEPEP which now falls under the purview of Local Government and Rural Development.
Moonilal, at the United National Congress’ (UNC’s) Monday Night Forum at the Chaguanas Borough Hall on Monday evening, claimed Dillon had written the letter in his capacity as National Security Minister and Member of Parliament for Point Fortin.
He displayed the letter which purportedly bore Dillon’s signature.
The letter was dated January 27, 2016 and showed a list of nine contractors whom, the writer said, “were well known to him..all operated within the constituency and had a record of performance in keeping with the highest level of reliability, cost efficiency and quality of work done.” However, Antoine denied this was so. “I am not aware of any letter written by MP Dillon about CEPEP contracts. I am not even aware that CEPEP contracts have been given out in the last year, so I guess you have to ask Mr Moonilal where he is getting his information from,” Antoine told reporters at a sod turning ceremony for the Bon Air South housing project at Woodstar Avenue, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, “Ask him, can he produce anybody who has gotten contracts in the last year? You have to deal with Mr Moonilal and his misinformation.
I am not aware of any New contracts coming on CEPEP in the last year,” Antoine reiterated.
