UWI traffic plan spells suffering

This, if not properly thought out, will cause massive gridlock in the area and a tremendous nightmare for all commuters since the effects will be felt on the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway and on the Eastern Main Road.

One cannot comprehend how the finest minds at the university could formulate such a plan without alternative infrastructure. It says something for our institute of higher learning.

A highly paid consultant would tell them that the existing entry points must be shifted.

This would be a minuscule cost (say $20,000) in relation to the massive suffering, frustration and time-lost to students, staff and all commuters in the vicinity.

I am freely advising that the south entrance be relocated via the car park at the western corner adjacent to the bar (the old rail line).

The existing gate to the highway should remain for exiting traffic only.

Free advice for alternate arrangements at the north gate is available on request.
