Mom and son to spend weekend in jail

Shireen Ramoutar, 52, and her son Randell, 27, of Third Street, Duncan Village, San Fernando, appeared Magistrate Natalie Diop, in the Fourth Court, to answer the three charges. It is alleged that on Thursday at their home, they had in their possession a Taurus .38 revolver, three rounds of ammunition and a quantity of marijuana. PC Rampersad of the San Fernando CID laid the charges, all of which were laid indictably.

Thus, the accused mother and son were not called upon to plead.

It is alleged that on Thursday officers of the San Fernando CID executed a search warrant and found the illegal items.

Attorney Ainsley Lucky represented them. Lucky noted that Randell disputed the contents of his (Randell’s) criminal records tracings which was yesterday presented at the hearing.
