Baggoo bags silver in Vancouver

Baggoo squared off against Wilhelmina Woo of the host nation in the TITLE match and lost 1-3.

In the opening set, the seasoned campaigner went down 9-11 but rallied back to level the score 11-9.

However, this was all Baggoo could salvage and she eventually lost the following two sets 12-14, 10-12 to settle for silver.

Ironically, Baggoo had previously swept Woo in three sets in the preliminary stages but could not muster up another victorious showing in the trophy match.

In the semi-final round, Baggoo defeated Susan Chow 11-2, 11-9, 11-3 while Woo booked a spot in the final by beating Isabel Cheng 11-2, 11-8, 11-5.

At the Americas Masters Games, over 5,000 athletes from 52 countries vied for top honours in 28 sports.
