Foetus found at Claxton Bay landfill

According to police reports, at about 8.10 a.m., scavengers saw corbeaux (vultures) picking at a black plastic bag. The scavengers drove the birds away and, on checking, discovered a foetus in a bag and contacted police who arrived at the scene and secured the area. The district medical officer was contacted and the foetus was ordered removed to the Forensics Sciences Centre.

Region Three Homicide officers are continuing investigations.
