School challenges effecting students
The listing indicating the names of the books was provided by the school. However, the ministry has failed miserably. A large number of students are still to be supplied with textbooks.
One of the methods the school has used to mitigate this effect is to provide students with “second line text”, not the endorsed text used by the school. This is not an effective option. I have since purchased books.
2. Neither a scheduling of classes nor a timetable has been issued to the students.
This suggest the ministry has relinquished its responsibilities to provide adequate support and resources to all school and all students.
More importantly, where are the school supervisors? Are they not aware of what is happening in our schools? I am therefore pleading with the ministry to lend support to Holy Faith Convent, Couva, so it can overcome its challenges. The only ones who suffer are the students.
