No bail for man who jumped bail

On May 20, 2013, the fugitive who had secured $750,000 bail on the fraud charges but had allegedly fled to the United Kingdom was returned to this country by UK police but managed to escape before officers could arrest him. Following investigations by head of the Fraud Squad, Senior Supt Dookhie and others, the suspect was detained by US authorities a few days ago and returned to Trinidad on Monday.

Of the 23 charges, 16 are joint charges which alleged that the four together with persons unknown, with intent to defraud, obtained from FCB sums of money by virtue of instruments knowing same to be forged. The charges are alleged to have taken place between April 6 and 7, 2013. Davis will reappear in court next month.
