Working together with the TT Creative Industries Company Ltd (Creative TT ), both outfits are of the view that the said plan is essential to guiding the future direction of the local music industry consistent with the needs of the country.

Currently in TT are Sian Evans, head of Global Operations and Paloma Medina, research manager of the London, Barcelona and Berlin-based Sound Diplomacy music agency, that has worked with clients from around the world increasing the value of music economies.

Evans said: “We really want to make this work everyone must be on board.” Tomorrow, an engagement session with the British duo is scheduled to take place at the CLR James Auditorium, Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies and there is an open invitation for all the music industry stakeholders to make their presence felt.

Frontin stated: “We chose to begin this critical strategic exercise in this way as we believe it is imperative for Sound Diplomacy to get a deep snapshot of our culture and our music industry’s distinctive issues directly from the stakeholders.” She added: “Further to this, we will be ensuring that there are widely circulated online surveys and calls/ interviews with all the music/music-related organisations, associations, influential stakeholder groups and representatives of various relevant entities.” The strategy will seek to provide TT ’s music industry with a competitive advantage as it will uncover penetrable areas in the international market and guide the sales, marketing, distribution efforts and ensure maximum impact of and revenue for our local talent.

It is also expected to assist in the business development of all stakeholders within the local music industry and maximise longevity and sustainability of music business.

Among the events for which Sound Diplomacy had provided consultancy, co-ordinating buying, delegate experience showcasing and logistics are Canadian Music Week, BIME and Future Music Forum - Spain, Nouvelle Prague, Nova Scotia Music Week - Canada, Nuit Boreale - France and the International Radio Festival - Switzerland.
