CDA GM resigns .....one month after chairman

Acting chairman, Gupte Lutchmedial told Newsday yesterday: “The GM submitted his resignation on Friday and the board by ‘round robin’ resolution unanimously accepted it this evening.

He said Anatol did not give a reason but when questioned as to whether he was asked to resign, Lutchmedial said: “I can’t discuss these things but he resigned before we finished the assessment.

Anatol served three of his six months probationary period, and was assessed at the end of each month.

It was during the third month’s assessment being done by the board on Friday that Anatol submited his resignation.

Lutchmedial said: “He (Anatol) resigned before we finalised the assessment.

We have since negotiated with him and we are going to have an amicable settlement with him.

I would say that it would be a non-disclosure settlement.

I know it is something that questions will be asked, but I would not be able to answer because it is a non-disclosure settlement we will have with him, parting ways after three months.” Anatol took over from Joycelyn Hargreaves who was fired in May this year, following an internal audit into the organisation.

In Pierre’s case, his resignation came after issuing of letters of comfort to two tenants whose leases from the CDA without the board’s prior knowledge.

The two tenants are Fouraime Enterprises Ltd whose directors are John Aboud, Richard Smith and Joseph Rahael; and Starburst Parks Ltd managed by Dr Sree Venu Potluri.

Pierre was chair from November 2015 to August 2016 Lutchmedial said while the former chair has maintained a high level of performance and remains available to him, willing to pass on any info required, it is a different case with the Anatol resignation.
