Zika baby’s blood for US tests

Tests would be done by the Pan American Health Organisation/ World Health Organisation (PAHO/WHO) to find out the cause

Deyalsingh said he had made arrangements with PAHO/WHO since the Caribbean Public Health Agency did not have the capability to do that confirmatory test

The tests would be conducted in Washington DC. Last week, the minister said he could not give any details as to the mother’s condition as she had been treated at a private medical institution

The baby is now warded in the Intensive Care Unit at the San Fernando General Hospital
