Harvey ‘deeply wounded’ by Pres, PM’s row
“The leaders of my nation should not be arguing over who is lying and who is telling the truth, it showed the worst side of us,” Harvey told a gathering of mostly young people at the Massy Trinidad All Stars Pan Theatre on Sunday evening.
“Both men claim they are Christians but their behaviour does not reflect it, their action is not the example for our young people.” Folks gathered at the pan theatre for the 22nd Annual Thanksgiving Service heard words of wisdom from Harvey, Brother Nobel Khan, Marjorie Julien, and Bishop Rudolph Deonarine.
The Thanksgiving service saw a changing of the guards in the band and each speaker sent their message directly to the members of All Stars Youth Steel Orchestra. The service was also to thank former members of the orchestras’ executive and to shower blessings on the new executive for continuity and harmonious relationship between all band members.
Harvey told the youths they must have their vision of victory in everything and let no one stop them from achieving their dreams.
But it starts in school with CXC, CAPE and university.
Sr Julien told they audience they must love and not be in love, “you have to share love and give thanks. You all should live on Thanksgiving Street.” In his address Deonarine told the audience they have to acknowledge God, “Success does not come without commitment, sacrifice and dedication and you will become successful by the grace of God and you must remember to give God thanks for allowing you to be successful.” The new executive of Massy Trinidad All Stars is: Nigel Williams, manager; Jason Lewis operations; Nicole Belgrave, administration; Keith Matthews, marketing, Staci-Ann Patrick, human resource; Darryl Joseph, public relations; Nelca Licorish, finance manager and Christopher Haynes, community relations.
