Bound body washes ashore

According to a police report, at about 11 am, police officers responded to the report and when they visited the scene, they saw the body in shallow waters close to rocks. Coast Guard officials were contacted and the body was pulled out of the waters.

The police report stated the man’s hands and feet were bound and his face was covered with what appeared to be a T-shirt.

Based on a preliminary assessment of the body, police said the man may have been in the water for several days.

The body was clad in brown short pants, but the police could not determine the man’s race at the time of its discovery.

According to the report, personnel employed on the water taxi service at King’s Wharf, San Fernando spotted the floating body nearby but by the time a search was launched, the current had caused the body to drift further out to sea, carrying it to La Brea coastline.
