Rudy in bid to score cheap political points

As a former government minister, Moonilal should be aware of this. Instead, he has now informed criminal elements locally as well as internationally of the kind of training provided by our security forces, as well as the kind of weapons they use to protect elected officials.

Moonilal’s argument that the ordinary people of this country are not allowed to handle guns shows the shallowness of his thinking. While we all feel a high level of discomfort about the crime situation in the country, we are not all the specific targets of domestic and international criminals and terrorists.

Furthermore, Moonilal does not seem to appreciate the fact that these children were under the close supervision of the security forces at the time the pictures were taken. Moonilal, we all wish that everyone with a gun in this country were under the same kind of close supervision.

What is of more concern to me, however, is the fact that these pictures were taken at all. The nation should be extremely concerned that people with obviously mischievous intent were able to get so close to the family of a senior government official.

Or could it be that there are those who want to send a sinister message: “The same way it was easy to point a camera at your family, it is just as easy to point something else.”
