House adjourns to Nov 9

In winding up its work the Committee considered the allocation of $15,487,400 to the President, with one Opposition member observing that the allocation of the President had suffered reductions fom the previous year and questioning the rationale for the reductions.

Finance Minister Colm Imbert replied that the whole country had taken a cut in spending and there had been a reduction of expenditure in the establishment of the President.

The Speaker of the House Bridgid Annisette-George then called on the Leader of Government Business, Minister of Planning and Development Camille Robinson-Regis, who asked that the House be adjourned to 1.30 pm on November 9.

The proposal was passed and the House was adjourned.
