Newsday joins Breast Cancer fight
Through leading Trinidadian oncologist now based in Florida, Dr Anesa Ahamad, we examine the impact of the delay in the long awaited National Oncology Centre at Mount Hope on this page. Other pieces in our Features Section highlight breast cancer survival stories, answers why mammograms are so important among the many preventive measures young women can take; myths and facts about breast cancer, and the experience of some persons who, sadly, have lost loved ones to breast cancer.
Our hope is that as a responsible media house that is devoted to the provision of information that educates and also enriches people’s lives, we will be able to stand together with the world today to inspire action, including heightened awareness, research and fund raising, that at best, results in prevention, and at the very least increased survival rates in our own country and the global community
