Sinanan, Renales triumph at Junior Badminton

Renaldo Sinanan (Boys Under-19), Jada Renales (Girls Under-19), Waynetta Thomas (Girls Under-15), Vance Juteram (Boys Under- 15) and Reece Marcano (Boys Under- 13) were all triple crown winners in their respective categories.

Each athlete won the singles, doubles and mixed doubles in their respective categories.

Other than the individual awards, team awards were also distributed with Southern School winning the Best Female Club, FMT claiming the Best Male Club and Shuttle Force grabbing the Best Overall Club.

There was an historical first as 100 entrants took part in 172 matches, including athletes from Barbados. A number of players continued their run of excellent form from the Caribbean Championships held in Aruba earlier this year in which Trinidad and Tobago recorded their highest ever medal tally.

Team TT earned 31 medals at the Caribbean Championships.
