Guillen XI earn narrow victory in trial match

Bowling for the Justin Guillen XI, left-arm spinner Pierre grabbed four wickets for 24 runs in 8.2 overs to help dismiss the Yannick Ottley XI for 178 in 47.2 overs. Experienced leg spinner Imran Khan was also among the wickets snatching 3/29, while Yannic Cariah showed some form for the Ottley XI scoring 48 off 69 deliveries with six fours.

West Indies Under-19 player Kirstan Kallicharan pitched in with 25.

The Guillen XI lost wickets at regular intervals but got over the line getting to 179/7 in 48.2 overs.

Isaiah Rajah, batting at number three, top scored with 47 off 95 balls which comprised four fours and one six.

Roshon Primus contributed 29, while medium pacer Cruickshank was a handful for the Guillen XI batsmen snatching 4/34 in 10 overs. Namir Suepual took 1/41 in his 10-over spell.

The TT cricketers are preparing for the Regional Four-Day tournament which bowls off on November 11.
