Holy Name Car Boot Sale on Nov 26
The flea market-style event will take place at the Queen’s Hall car park, St Ann’s, on November 26 from 7 am to 1 pm.
Vendors are allowed to sell their products from the trunks or “boot” of their cars, SU Vs and vans to buyers throughout the day.
Shoppers can expect to find a wide range of products including plants, clothes, jewelry, toys, household items as well as food items such as preserves, jams and jellies.
They can also expect reasonable prices with quality products that will stretch any budget for the cautious spender.
The Car Boot Sale helps to support small businesses and sole traders and provides an avenue for them to sell their goods in the season which usually records the highest retail sales.
Priya Gomes, president of past pupils association said in a media release: “We look forward to hosting this event every year, 2016 will be our fifth year and we expect it to be well attended.” The funds from the rental receipts from vendors, for the car spots they secure goes towards projects and student activities at the school.” Spots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis to vendors but pre-registration is necessary for participation.
Car spots cost $200, SU V and van spots cost -$300 and for those vendors who want to use tents the price is $400.
