Hairdresser, man in court for murder
Senior Magistrate Gillian Scotland called the case in which Mathews, a 40-yearold security guard of Ghandi Street, St Helena and Coutain, a 25-year-old hairdresser of Phase 2, Malabar, Arima were charged.
Both were remanded into custody and will reappear in court on December 15.
The victim Taylor was the step-mother of Coutain.
Taylor was found dead at her Phase 2, Malabar home on Monday October 24.
Her semi-nude body was discovered with lacerations to the neck.
Detective Constable Schankar Bedessie of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (Region II) laid the charge on Sunday, after receiving instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard SC.
