Ministry fixing college problem
The problem arose as a result of a burst transformer and a consequent problem with a major cable at the school, said a ministry statement.
The problem was identified and officials at the Education Facilities Company Ltd (EFCL) and the ministry visited the school and conducted an assessment.
The EFCL has appointed a contractor who has assured the ministry that the burnt-out transformer will be replaced.
“The contractor has promised to be on the job for 24 hours, if necessary,” the ministry said.
The statement said the Electricity Commission has also been contacted and has promised to give full support to have school resumed as quickly as possible. Parents are advised to liaise with the school authorities for information regarding the resumption of classes
