Group of thieves on the promenade

They would divide themselves and occupy two benches. Then the youngest one, about 14-15 years, snatches the cell phone from an unsuspecting person and passes it to an accomplice who walks away.

They boast how much they get for it and really it is “small money”.

I have witnessed three robberies over the past two weeks. The latest was on Saturday night. Police came but the culprits dispersed into groups, observing the police from a distance.

I am appealing to the relevant authority to please put the lights back in that area before I get robbed.
