Give SC title to Anthony Smart

Smart’s father, the late Isidore Smart, a former Chief State Solicitor, had often helped our Belmont community, offering services pro bono from the gallery of his Norfolk Street home in Belmont.

The time has come for President Anthony Carmona, Chief Justice Ivor Archie and Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi to bestow the deserving title of Senior Counsel on Anthony Smart.

Unlike others, he did not see it fit, when he was the country’s AG, to bestow upon himself such a title. I do hope my letter does not fall on deaf ears.

I personally thank Smart for so quietly helping the citizens of this country, especially us in Belmont.

He is a distinguished gentleman and former AG.
