Dr Murray is dead

He was former Tobago West MP, founder of the Tobago Community College, and an advocate for the creation of the Tobago House of Assembly in 1980.

Known for his strong views on Tobago’s identity, Murray was a member of the Democratic Action Congress (DAC) under the late Arthur N R Robinson, former President and Prime Minister. He studied Spanish and History at Howard University, and also attended the National University of Mexico and Georgetown University, and then taught at Morgan State and Washington Universities.
