Katwaroo, Charles shine in trial match

The national cricketers are preparing for the Regional Super50 tournament which bowls off at the end of January. Batting first the (Kyle) Hope XI posted 255 for six with wicketkeeper Katwaroo cracking an unbeaten 45 off 37 balls with three fours and one six. Katwaroo was ably supported by Jyd Goolie who scored 42 not out, while Ewart Nicholson and Yannick Ottley both contributed 36. Ricky Jaipaul (2/33) and Roshon Primus (2/27) both grabbed two wickets for the (Marlon) Richards XI.

In reply the Richards XI were dismissed for 115 in 31.2 overs as off spinner Charles snatched 3/19 in 7.2 overs. Yannic Cariah top scored with 22 for the Richards XI, while Philton Williams and Khary Pierre took 2/14 and 2/18 respectively.
