$28M in marijuana destroyed

The exercise was carried out on Thursday, in the Eastern Division in the forested areas of Charuma and Navet under the supervision of Inspector Andy Teewarie.

Eight fields which occupied four lots of land, equivalent to 2.04 hectares, consisting of 31,200 seedlings, 26,000 fully grown marijuana trees and ten pounds of cured marijuana trees, were found, uprooted and destroyed. No arrest was made during the course of the exercise.
