Cooper, Kalawan hit 100s as Naps crush Trinity East

Batting first at Naparima Ground, San Fernando, Kalawan cracked 134 while Cooper struck his second consecutive century, scoring 125 to lead Naparima to 360 for eight off 50 overs. Kalawan was the aggressor hitting four fours and 17 sixes in his 66-ball innings, while Cooper struck 19 fours in facing 107 deliveries. Keston Boodoo contributed 39 for Naparima, while Teron Jadoo (2/50) and Muhammed Aziz (2/43) both snatched two wickets.

In reply Trinity East were bundled out for 74 in 25.5 overs, slumping to a fourth straight defeat and staying at the bottom of the standings. Ryan Bandoo took five wickets for three runs and Justin Gangoo bagged 4/13 for Naparima.

Kyle John was the top scorer for Trinity East with 26. With the win Naparima moved from fifth to third on the standings.

Fatima maintained their position at the top of the standings with a 103-run victory over Shiva Boys Hindu College.
