Mobile Outlaw takes top Regatta honours

At the event, sponsored by IRP Fire and Safety, conditions were choppy and there was stiff competition in the 60 mph and 80 mph classes.

Competing against Heatwave and Papi Chulo in the 80 mph category, Mobile Outlaw won circuit one, sprint one and sprint two, while finishing second behind Papi Chulo in circuit two.

In the G Class (60 mph), which saw five boats competing, Pum Pum Conqueror won circuit one and sprint one.

Powered by God won sprint two, while Trident was the top boat in circuit two.

Iron Man was the lone boat to participate in the A Class (130 mph) category, successfully completing the four events.

In the D Class (95 mph) featuring Sheriff Lobo and Bacchanal, the former grabbed top honours in circuit one, circuit two and sprint one.

Fire Chief swept the F Class (70 mph) with their only competitor Extreme Measures failing to complete three races due to a broken throttle cable.

Extreme Measures completed sprint one.

Taking the honours in the various divisions were Pum Pum Conqueror (60 mph), Fire Chief II (70 mph), Mobile Outlaw (80 mph), Sheriff Lobo (95 mph) and Ironman (130 mph). At the middle of the season, Sheriff Lobo continues to lead with the most points.

The regattas are used as preparation for the Carib Great Race in August.
