Son finds mom hanging

According to reports, at 2.20 pm, Enil Stapleton arrived at his KP Lands, Valencia home and discovered his mother Joan Stapleton hanging from a rafter in the living room. He cut down his mother and tried to resuscitate her, but it was too late. Valencia police were called in and officers led by Sgt Ramkissoon visited the scene.

The woman’s body was removed to the Sangre Grande Mortuary. Relatives later told police that Stapleton had become depressed and refused to take her medication for the past two months. Despite her depression, relatives told police that Stapleton never gave any indication that she was suicidal
