East defend Shell Inter Zone U-19 title

Batting first, South East were dismissed for 178 in 38.2 overs with Cephas Cooper scoring 52, while Jase Assoon (27) and Avinash Mahabirsingh (24) also made contributions. Aaron Mairam was the best bowler for East, grabbing three for 34, while Kalli charan and Seecharan both took 2/22.

In reply, Kallicharan scored an unbeaten 62 and Seecharan cracked 56 as East raced to 182/3 in 33.4 overs. Michael Dindial snatched 1/14 in a losing effort.
