Police question kidnap victim

She said she successfully kicked her way to freedom yesterday morning through the back passenger seat of the car which was parked in a lonely area along the M2 Ring Road, Debe near Gandhi Village.

According to a report, just before 8 am yesterday, an off duty police officer driving through the area rescued the distressed woman.

Her hands, police said, were bound with tape and her mouth gagged.

The report further stated that the police officer contacted the San Fernando CID about the alleged abduction.

The woman, whose identity was not released, was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where she was examined and discharged.

Up to late yesterday she was being interviewed by police at the San Fernando station.

The car has been impounded.

Sgt Morrison and PC Rampersad visited the scene and are investigating.
