UNC, stop criticising, and work with PNM

However, I would like to inform the MP and other members of the Opposition United National Congress (UNC) that the population is becoming absolutely fed up with such diatribe and rhetoric.

The country finds itself in a predicament with falling income streams and it would seem that both sides of the political divide are devoid of fresh ideas.

Instead of bickering with each other and casting blame, they should be attempting to work together for the benefit of the country. In challenging financial times such as this, political divisions serve no purpose, unless the aim is to truly be a banana republic.

The person who is hungry or unemployed does not really care about another person’s party affiliation as times of crisis put things into perspective.

Before PNM and UNC parliamentarians were politicians, they were (and still are) citizens of TT, therefore, the country’s development should be high on their agenda, regardless of who holds the reins of power.

Please, for the sake of the country, come up with meaningful ideas instead of constantly criticising.

It is beginning to come across as repetitive and pathetic.

I hope and pray that the term “opposition” is not synonymous with being against working with the other side for the development of the country.
