Prisons FC promoted to League One
On the penultimate day of matches in League Two, Prisons whipped Petit Valley/Diego Martin United 4-2, at the Youth Training Centre (YTC) Ground in Arouca.
Barry Carrington (13th and 81st), Ricardo Alleyne (45th) and Aron Peters (71st) were on target for Prisons, while Keron “Ball Pest” Cummings (55th) and Ishaq Abdullah (80th) replied for Petit Valley/Diego Martin United.
Central 500 Spartans registered the most one-sided result of the 2017 Super League season, with a 13-1 annihilation of Marabella FCC at the Edinburgh 500 Recreation Ground, Chaguanas. Josiah Grazette (48th, 55th, 68th, 84th, 86th) registered five goals, while Amalias James (59th, 69th, 78th) had a hat-trick.
Keith Williams (sixth and 11th) had an early pair, while Donovan Derrick (42nd), Seon Regis (85th) and Darius Peters (88th) chipped in with one apiece. Isiah Warner (57th) pulled one back for the hapless Marabella.
Perseverance Ball Runners had a hard-fought 3-2 win over Youth Stars at the New Settlement Recreation Ground, Caroni. Jermore Clarke (ninth), Machel James (81st) and Brandon Simpson (90th) netted for Ball Runners, with Glenroy Frederick (54th) and Nathan Cadiz (75th) replied for Youth Stars.
In League One action on Sunday, Guaya United continued their winning ways with a 5-0 thrashing of the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) at the Guayaguayare Recreation Ground.
Shaquille Ferrier (10th and 58th) and Kevin Jagdeosingh (33rd and 88th) netted two goals apiece, with Carlon Hughes (74th) getting the other.
Second placed FC Santa Rosa benefitted from a hat-trick by Nathan Julien (10th, 47th and 48th) as they cruised past hosts Club Sando Moruga 3-1 at the Grand Chemin Recreation Ground, Moruga. Andrew Samuel (88th) got a late consolation for Club Sando Moruga.
Hakeem Legall found the back of the net in the 62nd as Cunupia FC pipped Defence Force 1-0 at the Defence Force Ground in Chaguaramas, while Police earned a narrow 2-1 win over Siparia Spurs at the Palo Seco Recreation Ground. Colin Williams (63rd and 88th) was on target for the lawmen, while Daniel Garcia (75th) struck for Siparia Spurs.
In an all-Tobago clash, at the Mt Gomery Recreation Ground, 1976 Phoenix FC brushed aside Bethel United 4-0, with Noel Williams scoring twice, in the 53rd and 82nd, while Stefano Wright (24th) and Che Richards (73rd) contributed one each.
And, at the Hasely Crawford Stadium Training Field, WASA edged Queen’s Park 3-2.
Glen Walker (20th and 30th) and Marcus Gomez (second) were the goal-getters for WASA, while Jameel Lashley (45th) and Devon Modeste (90th) replied for the Parkites.
