Coaching School step nearer title
CHAMPIONS St Clair’s Coaching School are closing in on a third title in the Warner’s Group of Companies-sponsored Tobago Football Association Semi-Professional League. Prolific Hugo Blake smashed home the winner for Coaching School, when they edged bottom-of-the-table Earlbrokes 2-1 at Canaan No 1 ground. Ronnie Alfred gave the two-time champs the lead, only for John Waldron to grab the equaliser for Earlbrokes. Coaching School now have 34 points, seven more than nearest rivals 1976 FC Phoenix XS. Golden Lane pipped Calder Hall 3-2 to move into contention for promotion to the semi-pro bracket late on Tuesday. Azel Taylor smacked a double for Golden Lane and Marlon Frank got the other goal. Garvin Richards and Brent Joefield knocked in a goal each for the losers.
