Exposure to financial uncertainty

I would like to remind the people of Trinidad and Tobago that if they heed the Prime Minister’s call to loosen their belts that their pants would drop and they would be exposed to the elements of financial uncertainty.

This is definitely a most irresponsible advice.

Shortly after the Central Bank’s revelation the Government announced a spending spree for several ministries and the people should be reminded of the austere measures that the NAR had to take to save the economy from the brink of financial disaster after a PNM spending spree in the 80’s. The PNM Government should heed the advice of our learned economists and curb its wild spending spree because if they do not the country will once again be placed on the brink of a financial disaster.
