St Clair’s Coaching School kings of Tobago
ST CLAIR’S Coaching School are kings of Tobago football for a third consecutive time. The team guided by ex-national coach Bertille St Clair shut out Sidey’s 4-0 at Richmond on Wednesday, in their Warner’s Group of Companies Tobago Foot-ball Association Semi-Professional League. The victory gave Coaching School an unassailable seven-point lead over nearest rivals 1976 Phoenix XS, and they still have two more games to play. Bertille’s men went on a romp, and soon their leading goalscorer Kareem Robley had them in the lead, netting his 11th goal of the season. And he was not done yet, as he put Coaching School further ahead in getting his 12th goal. After the interval, Kirch Spencer put the game further out of Sidey’s reach, and whn Darron Toby scored in the 76th minute, it was time to begin the celebrations of another $25,000 winner’s prize.
Also on Wednesday at Shaw Park, Earlbrokes won the Battle of the Bottom Clubs, edging Georgia 1-0 on a goal by Brindsley Reid. Georgia look sure to be in the play-offs to hold their spot in the semi-pro league having just one more game to play against Hope Village Milan who also need points to move away from the relegation zone. Earlbrokes still have four games to complete their schedule and can still escape the playoffs. Earlier at The Park, Bethel United held on dourly for a 0-0 draw with Phoenix who must now win their final game to hold on for a second place finish.
