Flippers on ‘Diego’ goal spree

HAPPI Foods Flippers were in happy goal-scoring mood in the Diego Martin Football Super League recently. In two matches they totalled 18 goals, first swamping GMC Syndicates 14-0, wirth Sekou Longh scoring seven, Akil Alcindore two and Keene McMillan, Kevon Long, Selwyn McClean, Kevin  Lynch and Omatoyo Strong getting one each. And Long (S) completed a magnificent scoring week netting all four goals when Flippers dumped Taliban FC 4-1.  Don Morris scored the lone goal. The young strikers’ scoring burst lifted Happi Foods Flippers to the top of the 11-team league. Hillaire Street strikers also put on their scoring boots, scoring 16 goals in three matches, first whipping Global Enterprise 6-2 with Curtis Thomas and Gavin Gulston scoring doubles, and Francis Charles and Lawrence Davis getting the other goals for the winners. 

Keron Pierre and Elon Hernandez scored for Global. Next, Hillaire Street shut out Bagatelle 6-0 with Thomas and Jason Spencer  scoring two goals each and Francis Charles and Atiba Alexander scoring the other goals. Then Hillaire Street dumped Covigne 4-0 with goals from Michael Constantine, Kevon Williams, Quincy Charles and Junior Spencer. Despite all this, however, Hillaire Street trail leaders Happi Foods Flippers by five points.
