Golden Lane beaten, Calder Hall advance
CALDER HALL watched on from ther sidelines and celebrated when Sea Level Goal City eked out a 2-1 Big Six victory over Golden Lane. Golden Lane needed victory in Wednesday’s game to gain the runners-up spot and a chance to vie for promotion into the Warner’s Group of Companies Semi-Professional League. But goals by Keflon Quashie and Akini Ferguson for Goal City were only answered by one from Ryan Taylor for Golden Lane. So Calder Hall who finished their five-match schedule with nine points advance to meet Georgia FC and either Hope Village Milan or Earlbrokes in the three-way playoff which will determine the make up of next year’s Semi-Pro league which St Clair’s Coaching School won for the third year on the trot this season. Mason Hall Police Youth Club clinched automatic promotion into the “big league” by topping the Big Six series.
