Disability coaches for workshop

TRINIDAD and Tobago Alliance for Sport and Physical Education will host a four-day Sport Disability Coaches Workshop from October 27-30 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium and Jean Pierre Sports Complex. This workshop is being put on in partnership with  the Australian-Caribbean Community Sport Develop-ment Programme. And the workshop is the continuation of  the efforts of the Regional Sport Disability Programme toward providing individuals with disabilities to participate in sport and physical education activities.

Activities to be covered include seated volleyball, wheelchair basketball, track and field and swimming. In addition,  coaches will be introduced to adapted physical education and sport concepts in an interactive learning environment. Sessions begin at 9 am each day and is expected to end at 4 pm. Meanwhile, persons interested in assisting in a forthcoming Sport Disability Festival are invited to attend a meeting on Wednesday at the Lystra Lewis Sport Administration Centre, Hasely Crawford Stadium.
