Ambrose, Walsh bowl again

KINGSTON, Jamaica: Retired fast bowling great Curtly Ambrose and former West Indies captain Richie Richardson are slated to appear in the annual Milo/Melbourne cricket festival match at the Melbourne Oval on Sun-day.

Ambrose and Richard-son, both from Antigua and Barbuda, will be on opposing teams in the limited overs match —Richardson playing for the Courtney Walsh XI against a side led by another ex West Indies captain Jimmy Adams, with Ambrose on their team list. The 35-over-a-side match will feature other international players David Bernard and Gareth Breese. The exciting young Trinidadian Shazam Bab-wah, who smashed a rapid 103 not out against the Windward Islands in the Red Stripe Bowl earlier this month, is also coming for the game. Babwah will play for Walsh’s team that will also include former West Indies youth players Donovan Pagon and Andrew Richardson, while Breese, Bernard, and other national players Parchment and Keith Hibbert will play with Adams.
