Tranquil down St Martins in schools n-ball
TRANQUILLITY made a grand start to this year’s British Gas-sponsored Secondary Schools Netball League North zone.
The Tranquil girls whipped St Martin’s 24-13 on Wednesday at the Jean Pierre Sports Complex. Goal-shoot Ria Roach and goal-attack K’Lene Lewis both scored 12 goals each for the winners, while Afiya Samuel netted eight and Patrice Norten five for the St Martin’s girls. In the only other game played, St Joseph’s Convent got the better of Malick Senior Comprehensive 26-14. Goal-attack Jeniele King led the convent girls with 15 goals while goal-shoot Kim Peters got 11. Giselle Antoine scored nine goals, Kimmie Ann Charles four and Onika Navarro one for Malick. Both the Mucurapo vs Corpus Christi and South East Port-of- Spain vs Belmont Junior Secondary were postponed.
