Charlotteville, Scarborough in ‘football war’
IT will be a “football war” today, when Charlotteville Methodist and Scarborough RC square off for the Milo-sponsored Tobago Primary Schools Football Association title. The action will be the third game of a triple-header at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet, Tobago, from 1 pm. First, Delaford AC and Signal Hill will tangle for the girls crown, and this will be followed by the boys third-place play-off between Belle Garden AC and Buccoo Government, and then comes the “football war.” Charlotteville shut out Buccoo Government 4-0 in the semi-finals, after the Buccoo lads had eliminated two-time princes Castara Government in the quarter-final round. And to reach today’s final, Scarborough RC downed Belle Garden AC 4-1 in their semi-final.
