Jamaat man shot in Arima

A 34-year-old member of the Jammat al Muslimeen was shot in Arima on Tuesday  night. According to police reports, around 9:40 pm on Tuesday, Roger Blacks, also called Roger Benjamin, was leaving a mosque at Railway Road, Arima, after attending a prayer session, when two men in a car opened fire as he attempted to enter his vehicle. The injured man was rushed by friends to the Arima Medical Facility and was later transferred to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he remains warded for a gunshot wound to the leg. PC Lalla of the Arima CID is continuing investigations.
