Fatima, St Joseph’s defend swim crowns

FATIMA and St Joseph’s Convent, St Joseph will be defending their boys and girls crowns as the Tidal Wave Aquatics Swim Club hosts their third annual Secondary Schools Swim Meet at the Dr Joao Havelange Centre of Excellence, Macoya, Tunapuna, from 9.30 am. As many as 380 swimmers from 26 schools are expected to compete in the day-long competition. Fatima will face tough challenges from six schools, including 2001 winners QRC and recently-crowned East Zone champs Trinity College East while St Joseph will be put to the test against six other schools, especially the likes of Holy Name Convent, Bishop Anstey and Bishop Anstey East. And defending co-ed winners St George’s College will try to withstand the challenges from South East Port of Spain and St Augustine Senior.
