No demands yet for release of St Helena businessman
UP to press time no demands had been made for the release of St Helena Village businessman Kenneth Khanhai.
According to information, neither family nor police have received any request for the release of the 40-year-old father of two. Khanhai, was abducted from outside his family’s Ramlal Street, St Helena Village home on Saturday night by three armed men and bundled into a waiting car. Since then no one has heard from kidnappers or Khanhai.
His kidnapping is the second for him in two years and No 49 in general for the year. Other kidnap victim Shane Sawh, 20, who was kidnapped from his California Village home on December 4 is also still a prisoner of his abductors. Sawh’s family, who had asked for two extensions to pay his $1 million ransom has still not come up with the money for his release. The family has not heard from the abductors since they spoke to them on December 9.
