More $$ for Scouts, Girl Guides
Scouting is a proven way to direct youth, says Justice Anthony Lucky at the Scout Association of Trinidad and Tobago’s annual blessing of the creche. Acting Prime Minister Joan Yuille-Williams convened that plans were already put in place to increase the subvention of the Girl Guides and the Scouts Association. “We see the need for organisations such as these for the youths,” she said. Also present at the ceremony were Dean Knolly Clarke, who blessed the creche, retired Brigadier Carl Alphonso, former President Arthur NR Robinson, and National Scout Commissioner Michael Bradshaw. President George Maxwell Richards was also presented with a plaque for being appointed Scout Chief.
