Toco woman killed while crossing roadway

A 58-year-old woman was killed instantly while crossing the roadway at Cumana Junction, Toco, around 9.30 am yesterday. Reports revealed that Elsa Lalla was crossing from south to north when she was struck by a car that was being reversed. The vehicle ran over the woman who was rushed to the Sangre Grande Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Cpl Glen Nancoo of the Toco Police Station visited the scene and interviewed the driver of the car. Investigations are continuing.
